Basic Drafting is a trimester course that provides each student with a concept of drafting and prepares them for future courses in the drafting technology curriculum. It is also offered as a related course for other technology programs, engineering bound students and those students who developed an interest in a related technical area.
Basic Drafting will cover lettering, sketching, single views, multi-view projection, geometric drafting, dimensioning, sectional views, auxiliary views, and architectural house design.
This course may be coupled with Exploratory Drafting for a full year of drafting or be used as a prerequisite to Intro to Engineering and Architectural Design.
